When a young couple decided to move from their townhouse in Brooklyn, to a loft in Hudson Yards, the loft space they purchased was a blank canvas. UNICORN was brought on to breathe life into the space, making changes to the floorplan to include an additional bedroom, a new office & work from home space, and a new custom kitchen.Â
While the building management made sure to throw every obstacle at us, the homeowners and team at UNICORN diligently and expeditiously worked through the challenge.
With 14 foot ceilings, and a raw concrete aesthetic, UNICORN created a design forward finishing plan to match the homeowner’s taste. Custom walnut kitchen cabinetry, Thermador appliances, and a stunning natural stone created the centerpiece for the space. Lighting throughout brought color, new wood floors warmed up the space, and a glass office space & custom shelving allowed the homeowners to make it functional and inviting.
